Join Pam and fellow meditators for a special mini-retreat at a spectacular location — Rockport MA. Local artist and meditator, Karen Watson has graciously offered to open her beautiful studio to us to engage in mindfulness through creative process. With the help of meditators Beth Ribeiro and Karen Watson, Pam will lead the group in creation of haiku as a mindfulness practice. There will also be time to reflect, eat mindfully, take in the exquisite scenery and weather permitting mindfully walk to the Headlands, where you can breathe in the ocean air and peacefully sit and observe. This retreat will have a focus on bringing the creative process into one’s mindfulness practice.
The workshop is limited in size and will fill quickly. We hope to offer this mini-retreat in the spring if there is interest.
What to bring:
Bag lunch ( we will eat lunch silently and mindfully upon arrival)
Towel or blanket to sit on if you want to sit outdoors at the Headland
Journal/pens, pencils, if desired
We will have tea/cookies available as well as writing supplies for haiku.
Directions to Karen’s studio will be sent upon registration. Carpooling may be available for those desiring to drive together from Stress Resources in Concord—we would leave at 10:30 am
Cost is $35 and registration is required by Oct 3.
